Is Jesus Really Praying for Me?

. . . Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures . . .
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Yes! Jesus is praying for you. One thing He is praying is that you will stand strong against the temptation to sin. Jesus remembers what it was like when Satan tempted Him on Earth. He knows that you still have that "want to" to sin. He prays that you will say "no" to temptation.

The Bible says that Satan stands before God's throne, day and night, accusing us of our sins (Revelation 12:10). Every time we give in to sin, Satan points out our guilt to God. That's when the Lord Jesus speaks to God the Father for us. The Bible says, " . . . we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous one" (1 John 2:1). Jesus, the perfect One, is like your lawyer. He tells the judge, God the Father, that you are not guilty because He already paid for your sin by dying on the cross. No accusation from Satan can stand up to Jesus' defense!

When God declares you "not guilty" and He forgives you, it's not because you deserve it. God is being merciful to you because of His Son, Jesus, who has prayed for you. Aren't you glad that the Lord Jesus prays for you every day?
